Good evening. This is John Revella, Village Manager of the Village of Walden. Today is Monday January 1, 2018. It is approximately 550pm. I am calling to inform residents that due to the extremely cold weather, the Village has endured several water main breaks. You may experience fluctuations in water pressure and slight discoloration in the water due to the iron content but it is safe to drink. Please avoid washing light colored or delicate clothing if your water appears discolored. The water department and public works department are working diligently to make the needed repairs but the conditions will likely exist for the next 24-36 hours.
