ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
Sealed proposals will be received by the Village of Walden at the offices of the Village Clerk, Third Floor Village Hall, One Municipal Square, Walden. New York 12586, until 11:00 am local on March 21, 2024 for the “MAPLE STREET RIVERFRONT PARK PROJECT”, and then at said office, publicly opened and read aloud.
SCOPE OF WORK: The project is the continued development of the Maple Street Riverfront Park located at the end of Maple and Pine Street. The project includes the following items of work: Final site preparation and grading for the construction of an 8 ft wide stamped concrete walkway along the riverfront, additional sidewalks and curbing to access the park property from existing Village Streets as depicted within the contract drawings, minor drainage improvements to an existing pipe outlet and curbing and paving improvements to the existing gravel parking area. The other aspects of the proposed plan are identified within the project site plan and specifications including erosion control, topsoiling, final landscaping, etc.
Information for Bidders, Specifications, and Contract Documents for the proposed work are on file and publicly exhibited at the VILLAGE OF WALDEN, One Municipal Square, Walden, New York 12586, Telephone Number (845) 778-2177. The said specifications MAY ONLY BE REVIEWED at the Village Clerk’s Office upon appointment.
Copies of the Contract Documents MAY ONLY BE OBTAINED at Lanc & Tully Engineering and Surveying, P.C., 3132 Route 207, Campbell Hall, NY 10916, Phone (845) 294-3700, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Persons shall leave name, correct mailing address and phone and email address, along with a $100.00 deposit for each set. The deposit shall be in the form of check or money order ONLY, for each set, and shall be drawn payable to the VILLAGE OF WALDEN, to be refunded in accordance with Section 102 of General Municipal Law. Addenda, if any will be issued only to those persons whose name and address are on the record as having obtained the contract documents. Bids will be accepted from only to those persons whose name and address are on the record as having obtained the contract documents.

Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable form of Bid Guarantee in an amount equal to at least five (5) percent of the amount of the Bid payable to the Village of Walden as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract and file acceptable and Certificate(s) of Insurance within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract.
OWNERS RIGHTS RESERVED: The Village of Walden, hereinafter called the Owner, reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any bid in the interest of the Owner.
STATEMENT OF NON-COLLUSION: Bidders on the Contracts are required to execute non-collusion bidding certificates pursuant to Section 103d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York.
LABOR STANDARDS: NYS Prevailing wages established will apply to this contract. The contract documents contain requirements addressing prevailing labor wage rates, labor standards and nondiscrimination in hiring practices.
EQUAL OPPORTURNITY CLAUSE: The bidder agrees to abide by the requirements under Executive Order No. 11246, as amended, including specifically, the provisions of the equal opportunity clause.
