About The Clerk
Although Marisa was born and raised in the Town of Newburgh, her foundation in the Village of Walden was set at the age of 13. Her father has been a business owner in Walden for over 27 years where she would spend every afternoon after school. She began her career in Walden as a part time Administrative Aide in 2013 and took on the role of Deputy Treasurer in 2014 and then Deputy Treasurer/Clerk in 2016. Marisa was promoted to Village Clerk in 2018. She was awarded the General Code’s Municipal Clerks Honor Roll in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024.
When not serving her community, Marisa can be found with her friends and family. She is proud of her daughter’s decision to pursue a degree in criminal psychology in NYC. Her hobbies include cooking Italian dishes, watching Tru Crime TV and traveling to new places.
