Over the past few months the Village of Walden Board of Trustees has been faced with many issues pertaining to absentee landlords and property maintenance which has lead to the discussion and drafting of a proposed Local Law that amends the Village Code by amending Chapter 221 of the Village Code entitled “Rental Property, Registration of”. A public hearing for this proposed local law was held at the regular meeting of the Board of Trustees on March 4, 2014 and was left open for the next Board of Trustees meeting on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at 6:30pm. In addition to this public hearing the Board has set a “Town Hall” style meeting for anyone to voice their comments or ideas about this law. This Town Hall meeting will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 6:30pm. All meetings are held in the Bradley Assembly Room on the 3rd Floor of the Municipal Building and all are invited to attend.
