Effective January 1, 2011 Interstate Waste (469-8407) will be the Trash Hauler for the Village of Walden for 2011 and 2012.
Once County Waste’s pails were emptied this week, they were returned to County Waste. Please resume using your own pails.
The fees associated with trash collection are remaining the same.
The pick-up days for both household trash and recycling are remaining the same.
Interstate will be providing every household in Walden with a 32 gallon Recycling container over the next few weeks.
Recycling is now “single-stream” (no remembering paper or plastic) all recyclable materials go out each Tuesday evening and are taken away weekly in one container!
Live, undecorated Christmas trees should be placed curbside and will be removed during the week of January 9th.
As always, Yard Waste will be picked up in season (April-Nov.) and bulk pickup will be provided in the Spring and Fall.
