INTERSTATE WASTE
Effective January 1st 2011, Interstate Waste became the trash hauler for the Village of Walden. For some, this was a seamless transition. For others, we ask for your patience and understanding as this transition completes itself. New 32 gallon receptacles are being provided to every household in the Village. It is intended to be used as a “single-stream” recycling bin. However, if you are content with your current bins, it may be used for trash.
Should you experience interruption or other problems with trash collection, kindly call the Village offices at 778-2177. We will contact Interstate on your behalf, and want to be aware of any issues with our contractor. You may also call the company directly, their customer service line is: 469-8407
Through the bidding process the Village was able to keep your Refuse bill the SAME as in 2010!
Attention Senior Citizens:
If you are over the age of 65 and own the home you live in, you may be eligible for a 20% discount on your Refuse bill! Call 778-2177 to receive an application by mail, or click here to download an application or just stop in Village Hall.
If you are already receiving the reduced garbage rate of $60.60, you need not reapply!
