On Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the Bradley Assembly Room on the 3rd Floor of the Municipal Building, all homeowners are welcome to attend a 1 hour session on Going Green – Everything the homeowner needs to know about renewable energy systems for the home presented by Daniel W. Storaska. Dan is a 12 year resident of the Town of Montgomery and an avid outdoorsman who is involved with the Boy Scouts of America, a bow hunter, skier and an FFF Certified Fly Casting Instructor. His mission is to ensure that all residential homeowners fully understand the value of these systems from an environmental and financial perspective.

In this 1 hour session, Dan breaks down the 3 common renewable energy systems for the home: solar (PV), solar thermal, and geothermal. He will cover what the average homeowner can expect from a cost and payback analysis, what the systems entail from an installation perspective and how the systems perform from actual data. Dan has had all 3 systems retrofitted at his residence in Montgomery by contractors who allowed him to participate in the integration – he is an electrical engineer by trade. A question and answer session is included. All homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend!
